Creativity is a joyous, loving state. What a thrill and honor it was last night to dim the lights, lock hearts&minds with an audience of first-class passengers, and launch into my December artist residency at Caffè Vivaldi with supreme drum-sorcerer Adrian Harpham navigating much of the set's magic as my incredible first guest co-pilot for the series. I'm as sad that the night had to end as I am excited for the next three Tuesdays to take flight, and that's all thanks to the support of you fine musicparty peoples who believe in my artistic voice enough to make it a reason to leave your house not just on any given night, but most especially, a drizzly slushy wintertide eve. Sharing these few spirited pics with deep gratitude to all who came out and made for an enchanting, connective evening of song brimming with...well, with joy & love, yo.
More news to come but please save the date and come get your cozy-old-New-York-listening-room groove on next TUES 12/13 @ 8:30pm, when my special guest, pianist John Deley, will fire up his keyboard, elevate my tunes, and electrify the night with his tremendous musical gifts. Salute, dreamers and hope to see/toast with you there! THERE: 32 Jones St. NewFreakingYork.
What an honor and joy it was/is to make musical conversation with brilliant drummer Adrian Harpham. Looking forward to fusing our musical notions and motions in the new year and inviting you along for the ride again soon...
Loving this snap! "You want a piece of these imaginative jazz-pop power croons? Look, make nice with the soul of the music and no one gets hurt, aieeeet...?"
Nothing like a beloved friend and faithful supporter of my song to make this bumpy, uncharted artist's way totally worth getting caught in NYC freaking gridlock in the rain and almost not make the gig on time. Grateful for this supreme patroness, Kate Yorke, and ALL who fit that sacred bill!
